How the leaderboard is tallied
Your score on the CineMind leaderboard is the sum of every XP event you've earned in this app — tutorial steps, game wins, streak bonuses, sharing, and creator activity.
The leaderboard refreshes in real time. Display names are public; user IDs are never exposed.
Your data, your rules

Getting real work out of CineMind
A good first session
Open with the specific: the film, roughly where in it, and what you noticed. 'The reunion scene feels colder than it reads on the page' gives the conversation somewhere to go — staging distance, lens length, where the reverse angles land, what the score is refusing to do.
Expect to be asked what you were expecting instead. Most of the interesting analysis lives in the gap between the film you anticipated and the one you got.
Working with the answers
Disagree out loud. 'That reading ignores the sound bridge into the next scene' is the most productive thing you can type, and the reasoning is meant to be revised rather than defended.
Ask for the mechanism rather than the verdict. 'Why does it work' survives the conversation; 'is it good' does not.
Earning experience while you watch
Experience accrues for completed tracks, passed knowledge checks, accepted corrections and returning across separate days. Streaks count distinct days, so a short session after each film beats a marathon once a month.
The leaderboard uses the same server-side totals. Contributions later reversed are removed, which is what keeps the ranking worth anything.
Making it a habit
Install the site as an app for one-tap access and full-screen voice mode — talking through a film on the walk home works better than typing about it two days later.
The habit that pays is the ten minutes immediately after the credits, while you can still remember what the cutting felt like rather than what you decided about it afterwards.
