The site's AI assistant now answers in the reader's chosen language and can speak its replies with a natural voice, while a new guided tour awards XP toward the public leaderboard.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

meVid.online today shipped three accessibility and onboarding upgrades: multilingual chat, spoken answers using a natural voice engine, and a gamified guided tour that awards points toward the public leaderboard.

Chat follows the reader's language

Switching the site language now switches the assistant too. Welcome copy, suggested prompts and the assistant's replies all follow the selection, on the homepage and on the full chat page. Previously the interface translated but the conversation stayed in English β€” a poor fit for an audience that watches and discusses film across languages.

Spoken answers

Replies can be read aloud with a natural-sounding voice rather than a flat system voice, with playback controls on each message. Voice is optional, off by default, and never autoplays.

A guided tour worth points

The new How to Use walkthrough replaces a static help page with a short sequence of steps that each unlock a real part of the site β€” putting a question to the assistant, opening an encyclopedia entry, running a duel. Each completed step awards XP, and the walkthrough spells out exactly how leaderboard scoring works.

Why this matters for accessibility

Language selection and spoken answers together make the site usable for readers who do not read English comfortably or who prefer audio. Both are standard controls, not paid add-ons.

Availability

All three features are live on meVid.online. Multilingual chat and the guided tour work without an account; extended chat use requires a free sign-up.
